Justice for Homebuyers: Aizenman Law Group Wins $163,579 Verdict
At Aizenman Law Group, we’re excited to share a big win for our clients in a hidden fire damage lawsuit. On January 8, 2025, Partner Caleb Salmon and Attorney Maria Luckert secured a unanimous jury verdict of $163,579 for a couple who trusted the seller’s disclosures—only to learn they had been misled.
Our clients trusted that the seller disclosed all of the defects in the home. Unfortunately, they later discovered the seller had not only failed to disclose severe fire damage but had actively concealed it. The damage was covered with drywall and carpet. The defense argued that our clients should have conducted more inspections, relying on the old saying “real estate is buyer beware.” Thankfully, the jury disagreed and delivered justice.
Before trial, the defendant’s top offer was $20,000—far less than our clients deserve. At Aizenman Law Group, we don’t settle for less. When a fair resolution isn’t offered, we’re fully prepared to take the fight to court. That’s exactly what we did here.
This case is a reminder of why we do what we do. We’re here to stand up for people who’ve been wronged and help them move forward.
